I was very lucky in that I found a great group of real estate investors to learn from right off the bat. I took a training seminar by the FortuneBuilders called The Rehabbing Bootcamp as my first live education. I was referred to the FortuneBuilders by my partner Erik who had met them previously and said they were awesome teachers and people. I know that it’s pretty common to start with the big name real estate education groups, but I don’t think that most of them offer the solid training and coaching that really works.
The reason that I got so lucky with the FortuneBuilders is because they were young guys that were still fairly new to the real estate investing, but had grown their business very fast and picked up tons of knowledge in the process. This was great because they were teaching exactly what they were doing on a daily basis. They also look at every student as a partner to do business with rather than a threat to their business. At the end of that very first Rehab Bootcamp that I took from the FortuneBuilders I knew that these were the type of people that I wanted to be around and learn real estate investing from. After that event I signed up for the FortuneBuilders Mastery Coaching program and haven’t looked back.
