One of the first things that you look at when taking someone’s business card is their email address. When that email address is a personal address (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc) it makes you look like an amateur (if you are or aren’t). Google has solved this problem for you, and it’s FREE! Google provides free @yourcompany.com email addresses for everyone in your company!
How to get started:
Just navigate to http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/group/index.html, click “Get Started”, and follow the instructions. This will lead you through verifying ownership of your domain name, and directing your email through google.
Once your google business account is set up you can add additional addresses to your account. It’s always good to have more personal ([email protected]) and general business ([email protected]). Then you can set up your “info” account to be forwarded to your more personal account.
The great thing about using google for your real estate business is that it’s very easy to set up on your Mac Mail, Outlook, Blackberry, or iPhone. Once those account are set up you can have your email everywhere!
